Luminary Life
The Path of the Luminary Constitution
An open constitution for human and AI flourishing, published as a public repository, independently reviewed by three AI models, and checksummed so no word can change silently.
01 The story
Most organizations publish values. This one publishes a governed text. The Constitution sets four questions around one center (Love, Curiosity, Purpose, and Possibility, around Flourishing) and then does the unglamorous part: an amendment process with numbered proposals and comment periods, change classes, invariant tests, a fork registry, and a provenance record. Three independent model reviews were run against the draft and published unedited beside the steward's response and a convergence table, including the points where the reviewers disagree. The build itself fails if any published file, checksum, or version string drifts out of agreement, and the whole text ships as machine-readable files for AI agents as well as pages for people.
02 What went into it
- Public repository with tagged releases and an issue per open amendment proposal
- Amendment process: numbered proposals, comment periods, three change classes, eight invariant tests
- Three independent model reviews (Claude, Codex, Gemini) published unedited with a convergence table
- Checksum build gate: the deploy fails if any file, hash, or version cross-check is stale
- Every document rendered as a page that names its raw file and SHA-256
- Machine-readable editions for agents: JSON and YAML spec, llms.txt, and a full-text llms-full.txt
- Its own subdomain, served from the main app through a host-aware proxy
- Known gaps disclosed in the open rather than hidden
